ITS ST RONG ON DEFENSE.
In a fast-moving world, it’s good to have Terrain on your side. Terrain is designed to help keep accidents from happening, with features
like four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and a StabiliTrak
®
electronic stability control system that can cut your risk of a fatal single-vehicle
crash by a remarkable 63 percent.* If a crash does take place, Terrain shields you and your companions with six standard air bags,
an
advanced steel safety cage and many other protective features. Another line of defense is a Terrain exclusive in the segment: OnStar
®
,**
which can dispatch emergency services to your precise location after a crash, even if you’re unable to respond to their call.
* According to information published by the US Department of Transportation’s National Highway Trafc Safety Administration, July 2007.
** Excludes other GM vehicles. Visit onstar.ca for coverage map, details and system limitations. Services vary by model and conditions.
OnStar acts as a link to existing emergency providers.
A NOTE ON CHILD SAFETY: Always use safety belts and proper child restraints, even in vehicles equipped with air bags. Refer to the vehicle Owner’s Manual and child safety seat
instructions for more information.

POWER AND HANDLING.
Finally there’s a compact crossover for people who think the commute to the ofce should be a pleasure, not a grind.
Terrain’s standard 182-horsepower direct-injected 2.4-litre engine and six-speed automatic transmission deliver responsive
performance without punishing you at the pump. If you like a little extra punch when you squeeze the throttle, there’s an available
264-horsepower 3.0-litre V6 that allows Terrain to tow trailers weighing as much as 1588 kg (3500 lb.). With either engine,
you can choose either front-wheel drive (FWD) or an intelligent all-wheel-drive (AWD) system that helps to optimize traction,
even in challenging conditions. Terrain’s suspension and steering systems contribute another measure of surefootedness with
their excellent balance of stability and responsiveness.
